Description:
Thepurpose of this consultancy is to collect one round of data using twoinstruments - a School Survey and a Survey of Public Officials - and use thisinformation to produce clean datasets. 1. Datacollection includes an assessment of 200 schools where the School Survey toolwill be implemented. In all of these schools, video recordingswill capture classroom and teaching activities, which will be coded at the endof data collection using the classroom observation tool Teach. The sample willbe chosen by the World Bank and subsequently shared with the survey firm. Alldata in the school survey can be collected in one per school with twoenumerators. 2. Data collection also includes 200 interviewswith education officials as part of the Survey of Public Officials. While onegroup of enumerators is visiting the schools, another group will visitthe respective education offices tocollect data from Education officials. There will be 200 randomly selected educationofficials that will be part of this data collection effort. The sample will bechosen by the World Bank in collaboration with the DPE of MEN and subsequentlyshared with the survey firm. Theresponsibilities of the survey firm include recruiting and training theenumerators. These enumerators will pilot the instruments, provide thenecessary data collection equipment, carry out the fieldwork, and support datacleaning and archiving. The survey firm will manage these tasks, which willhave agreed quality standards associated with them. Throughout the exercise,the vendor will work in close collaboration with the World Bank. As part of thecontract, the vendor will provide timely reporting on all activities.
